Specimen

A specimen from the trachea, feces or cloacal secretions of the birds should be collected using the cotton swab, which is enclosed in a sterile blister pack. To ensure an accurate test outcome, it is important to moisten the swab sufficiently.

The cotton swab has to be placed in a buffer dilution immediately after the sample has been collected. In order to proceed with the test, it is necessary to administer the drops of buffer dilution onto a specified region located on the test cassette.
