Ingredients
Calcium is an alkaline earth metal that can help to support healthy bones and teeth, especially in individuals who do not consume enough calcium in their diet. It is also commonly used to treat and prevent osteoporosis, a condition characterized by low bone density that increases the risk of fractures.
In addition to its bone health benefits, calcium carbonate may also help to reduce the risk of certain types of cancers, such as colon cancer which should be fully confirmed in the future. It may play a role in the regulation of blood pressure and the prevention of hypertension.
Calcium carbonate supplements are generally considered safe when taken in appropriate doses, although excessive intake may lead to digestive issues, constipation, and other gastrointestinal health problems.
The prevention of some types of cancers has not been fully confirmed. Other studies need to be done to confirm this statement.

What is the evidence for Calcium + Vitamin D3’s impact on bone loss in postmenopausal women?
It is known that calcium can prevent or treat several conditions related to bones. It is beneficial in the treatment process of fractures, osteoporosis, and osteomalacia. Calcium can also protect the bones, joints, and teeth health.
According to many studies, calcium supplementation is highly beneficial in postmenopausal women who face bone loss and fractures.
Effect of Calcium Supplementation on Bone Loss in Postmenopausal Women
Calcium can slow bone loss in the forearm and has a beneficial effect on the axial bone density in women in menopause that take 400mg calcium per day. This study focuses on the axial bone density in postmenopausal women with higher calcium intake.
This study includes 122 women at least 3 years after they had reached menopause. There was a placebo group and a group of women that was treated with 1000mg calcium per day for two years. During the study, the total body bone mineral density was measured every six month with dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry. Also, serum and urine indexes of calcium metabolism were measured after 3, 12, and 24 months.
The results showed that the mean rate of loss of total body bone mineral density was reduced by 43% in the calcium treated group. In the legs, the rate of loss of bone mineral density was reduced by 35% and the loss was eliminated in the trunk. Also, the loss in the lumbar spine was reduced by 67%. Serum parathyroid hormone was also lower in the calcium-treated group. Urinary hydroxyproline excretion and serum alkaline phosphatase concentrations were also lower.
The overall results showed that calcium can slow the axial and appendicular bone loss in postmenopausal women.
