What is Lincomycin?
Active Ingredients: Lincomycin
Lincomycin Capsules are a drug indicated in the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains of streptococci, pneumococci, and staphylococci. It is typically used to treat severe bacterial infections in people with penicillin allergies. Lincomycin is used only for severe infections.
This medicine will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
Lincomycin is classified as a lincosamide antibiotic, which works by inhibiting protein synthesis within the bacteria.

What is Lincomycin used for?

How are Lincomycin Capsules used?
This medication is manufactured to be taken orally. Lincomycin Capsules should be taken with a glass of water, preferably before meals.
What dose should be taken?
The usual dose for adults is 500mg, taken 3 to 4 times per day.

Side Effects

Precautions
