How are Ketorolac Tromethamine Tablets used?

What dose should be taken?

The usual dose is 10mg, taken every 4-6 hours. Some patients may be recommended to take 20mg as a starting dose. The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.

Side Effects

Precautions

  • You have a stomach ulcer.

  • You have a bleeding or blood-clotting disorder.

This medication may not be suitable for people with certain conditions, including:

  • heart problems, hypertension, high cholesterol or diabetes
  • current smoker
  • a history of heart attack, stroke, or blood clot
  • a history of stomach ulcers or bleeding
  • ulcerative colitis or any other inflammatory bowel disease
  • kidney or liver disease
  • asthma
  • edema

This medicine should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding if the benefits outweigh the risks. Consult a doctor or healthcare professional before treatment.

Many drugs are known to interact with ketorolac tromethamine, including aliskiren, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor blockers, lithium, methotrexate, pentoxifylline, probenecid, corticosteroids, diuretics, and anti-platelet drugs.

Avoid alcohol during treatment, as it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding.
