What is Chlorpromazine used for?

How should Chlorpromazine Tablets be used?
This medication is intended to be taken orally.
What dose should be taken?
For nausea and vomiting, the usual dose is 25mg, taken every 4-6 hours as needed.
For schizophrenia, the usual dose is 30-75mg, divided and taken every 6-12 hours. The dose may be increased as needed. The typical maintenance dose is 200mg per day. Some patients may require 800mg - 2g per day.
The dosage is based on medical condition, response to treatment, age, and weight. Refer to a doctor or pharmacist for guidelines on dosage. Do not exceed the advisable dosage.
