What is Benzhexol HCl?
Active Ingredients: Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride
Benzhexol HCl (Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride) Tablets are a drug used to manage symptoms of Parkinson's disease. It is typically used in combination with other medications. This drug can be used to control extrapyramidal symptoms caused by some antipsychotic medications. It is also prescribed for some children with cerebral palsy.
Trihexyphenidyl is also known by the name of benzhexol. It belongs to the class of medicines called anticholinergics/antispasmodics, which works by blocking the action of acetylcholine.

Uses
What is Benzhexol HCl used for?
It is used to treat symptoms of stiffness, tremors, spasms, and poor muscle control. It is used in combination with other medications for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
Trihexyphenidyl is also used to treat severe muscle spasms and extrapyramidal signs that are caused by some psychiatric drugs like phenothiazines.
How are Benzhexol HCl Tablets used?
This medication is intended to be taken orally. Benzhexol HCl Tablets are best taken one hour prior to using an antacid and one to two hours before using antidiarrheals. These drugs interfere with the absorption of Benzhexol Hydrochloride. Take this medication at least 2 hours after taking ketoconazole, as these two medications also interact.
What dose should be taken?

Side Effects

Precautions
