Hand Wipes

Hand Wipes are pre-moistened, disposable cloths that have been specifically designed for cleaning and sanitizing hands. The single-use towelettes are saturated with a solution containing cleansing and disinfecting agents, which effectively removes dirt, germs, and other contaminants from the skin.

Hand wipes are commonly used in many types of settings, including homes, offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and during travel. They are convenient for quick and on-the-go hand hygiene, particularly in situations when access to soap and water is limited.

Disposable hand wipes are 2.7x20cm and are available in unscented and fresh scent variations. There are two product lines available: the EconoGuard hand wipes, which are made of straight non-woven material, and the XtraGuard hand wipes, made of cross non-woven material.

Material

EconoGuard (Straight Non-Woven) hand wipes are made of straight non-woven material with fibers aligned predominantly in one direction, resulting in a uniform and linear structure. This material provides excellent tear resistance and durability, and the aligned fibers create channels that enhance the absorption and distribution of liquids throughout the wipes.

XtraGuard (Cross Non-Woven) hand wipes are made of cross-non-woven material, in which the fibers are intertwined or randomly oriented, forming a crisscross or spiderweb-like pattern. This construction gives the wipes a softer texture, increased flexibility, and better drape compared to straight non-wovens. The random orientation also creates a larger surface area, which allows for the more effective trapping and retention of dirt, bacteria, and other particles.

What are Hand Wipes used for?

A hand wipe should be taken out of the pack and unfolded, if necessary. The wipe can be used to gently wipe the hands, including the palms, backs of the hands, between the fingers, and around the nails.

Any unused hand wipes should be stored in a cool, dry location that is out of sunlight and excessive heat. It is recommended to keep unused disinfectant wipes in their original packaging or a suitable container to prevent drying out and maintain their moisture content.

How should used wipes be disposed of?

Used hand wipes should be thrown out in waste bins. Do not flush hand wipes down the toilet, as this action may cause plumbing issues.
